A combination of the ampersand (&) and treble clef (𝄞) to symbolize both manyness and harmony.

The treble ampersand in black.

It is for all who identify as plural, no matter what created them or what diagnoses they do or do not have. This includes, but is not limited to those

who are diagnosed with a dissociative disorder
who are not diagnosed with a dissociative disorder
who were created by trauma
who were not created by trauma
who intentionally became plural
who did not intentionally become plural
who believe their plurality is psychological
who believe their plurality is spiritual
who are many different, separate people
who are facets or midcontinuum
who are struggling with their plurality
who are not struggling with their plurality
who are still figuring out who they are
who do not care about the circumstances of their creation
...and many, many more. 🙂

Once more, this symbol is for the use of any who identify as plural. You may use it freely and even sell merchandise with it. You do not need to credit us. All that we ask is that you do not claim ownership of it, nor police others in their use of it.

To this end, we dedicate this symbol to the public domain.

[sticky entry] Sticky: The Plural Journey Flag

We have added one more version with an ampersand!

Hello everyone. 😊 We hope you are well.
We have been thinking of pride flags. We saw that some people have designed plural flags. We wanted to make one too.

With only stripes
A Plural Journey Flag. It has seven stripes. From top to bottom, purple, blue, green, black, green, blue, purple.

With an ampersand
A Plural Journey Flag with an ampersand. It has seven stripes and there is a black ampersand in the middle. From top to bottom, purple, blue, green, black, green, blue, purple.

Purple for Mystery. This is learning you are plural for the first time, but it is also learning things later. We are always learning!
Blue for Trust. This is the trust between headmates. Hard but important.
Green for Harmony. This is internal harmony, whether you choose to fuse or choose to stay many.
Black for Diversity. There are many ways to be plural! We are stronger together.

The order that the stripes are in is important, too.
The journey of a system begins in Mystery. Then we build Trust, so that we may reach Harmony.
We mirror this pattern because there are many ways to take this journey. So you can read the flag going up or down.
We put black at the center because plurals can be very different, but we have this journey in common.

We call this the Plural Journey Flag. 😊 Here is also a simple version with just four stripes.
